Active Reading-non-fiction

Nowadays, with the new media in power, most adults browse articles on Moments as extensive reading (fragmented reading), without in-depth reading, students do not learn much. However, intensive reading is what truly helps students catch key information, identify passage structure, and summarize thesis statements. Students are advised to read nonfiction articles extensively to accumulate sufficient supporting ideas, which can be applied in argument writing, debate, and standardized tests preparation.
This course will help in distinguishing more versatile sentence structures, and to achieve a better understanding over the applications of various word choices. Also, to get introduced to how to read more effectively with a clear focus and enhanced proficiency will surely be beneficial in the long run.
